RTHV’s Rebuilding Day program has transformed the lives of countless homeowners by ensuring their homes are safe, warm, dry, and healthy. “Our program is more than just a repair service—it’s a lifeline,” says Darcy McCourt, Executive Director of RTHV. “From roof replacements, accessible bathrooms and ramps, to critical plumbing and electrical work, our goal is to enhance the safety and accessibility of homes for those who need it most, all at no cost to the homeowner.”

These essential repairs not only improve the safety of the home but also offer homeowners peace of mind and a renewed sense of security. Just ask Helen, an 88-year-old widow and mother to a disabled adult son, who has lived in her home for over 30 years. Thanks to RTHV, Helen’s home was equipped with a 30-foot handrail, reinforced stairs, a walk-in shower, grab bars, basement repairs, and more. “Knowing that Mom can move around safely and get in and out of the bathroom without fear—it’s made all the difference for our family,” Helen’s daughter shared.
